Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.
Visa: Most travelers require a visa to enter Tanzania. This can be obtained online or on arrival.
Vaccination Certificate: A Yellow Fever certificate may be required if you’re coming from a risk country.

Recommended vaccines include Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and Tetanus.
Malaria is present in many safari areas. Speak to your doctor about anti-malarial medication.
Carry a small medical kit with pain relievers, antiseptic, insect repellent, and any personal prescriptions.

Light, breathable clothing in neutral colors (avoid bright or dark colors like blue or black).
Warm layers for early morning and evening game drives.
Comfortable walking shoes or boots.
Sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and lip balm with SPF.
Binoculars and camera with spare batteries or charger.
Small backpack or daypack for daily use.
Reusable water bottle.

Dry Season (June – October): Best time for wildlife viewing; cooler weather and less vegetation.
Green Season (November – March): Fewer tourists, lush landscapes, excellent birdwatching.
Migration Months: Witness the Great Migration in Serengeti from June–July (Grumeti River) and August–October (Mara River).
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Safari Etiquette
Respect Nature: Do not litter, feed animals, or make loud noises.
Stay Inside the Vehicle: Unless instructed by your guide, always remain in the safari vehicle during game drives.
Listen to Your Guide: Your safety and the quality of your experience depend on it.
Photography: Be respectful and ask before taking pictures of people. For wildlife, no flash.

Tanzania’s currency is the Tanzanian Shilling (TSh), but USD is widely accepted.
Credit cards are accepted at most lodges, though some charge a fee.
Tipping is customary:
Guide: $10–20 per person/day
Camp staff: $5–10 per person/day (shared among staff)

Most safari lodges offer limited Wi-Fi; embrace the digital detox!
Power outlets may be limited. Bring a power bank and plug adapter (Tanzania uses types D & G).
Mobile coverage is available in towns and some safari camps.
🎒 Luggage
For fly-in safaris, soft-sided bags are required (hard cases may not be accepted).
Baggage weight limit is usually 15 kg (33 lbs) per person including carry-on.
Pack light but smart — laundry service is available at many lodges.
